GREER, SC, June 8th, 2025 - World No. 2 Diego Elías has been crowned the 2025 Gillen Markets British Open champion, securing his first title at the prestigious event in Birmingham.
Diego kept his head when faced with current World No.1 and defending champion Mostafa Asal in the final. His confidence grew as he took the first two games, dropped the third but then came back fighting to close the match with a decisive fourth to take the crown.
Post-match, a visibly emotional Elías stated, “I don’t know what to say! This is crazy… Winning a big tournament is amazing!”
