HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., Sept. 6, 2025 - From Hideki Matsuyama’s record-breaking season opener at The Sentry to three Major Championships, 34 global victories, and 10 players in the FedExCup Playoffs, Srixon dominated 2025. This wasn’t just a breakout. It was a turning point. The rise is here.
MAJOR HAUL
Three Majors, One Historic Season.

A milestone year for major success, Srixon captured its third Major Championship of the season with staffer Miyu Yamashita’s breakthrough victory at the AIG Women’s Open, her first Major title and the biggest triumph of her young career. Armed with a full bag of Srixon and Cleveland Golf equipment, the 24-year-old from Osaka showcased both her mental toughness and confidence in her gear to conquer the demanding Royal Porthcawl layout. Yamashita’s win followed earlier Major triumphs from J.J. Spaun at the U.S. Open and Grace Kim at The Amundi Evian Championship.
This was a goal of mine from a very young age to win a major championship, and to be able to do that is a very satisfying feeling, very special.Miyu Yamashita, Srixon Staffer

PLAYOFF PRESENCE
Srixon Takeover.
Seventy players earn the right to tee it up at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis to begin the FedExCup Playoffs. Among them, an impressive 10 were Srixon staffers. In the opening event, J.J. Spaun once again made his presence felt, grinding his way into a playoff for another marquee PGA TOUR title. After three extra holes, he came up just short, but the performance propelled him to a career-best World No. 6 ranking, a true testament to his consistency and place among the game’s elite.
The playoffs marched on to the BMW Championship in Baltimore and the TOUR Championship in Atlanta, where only 30 players qualified. Of those 30, six were Srixon staffers, the most ever for the brand. That’s 20% of the most exclusive field in golf and further proof of the remarkable season Srixon players had. (Bradley, Lowry, Matsuyama, Novak, Spaun, Straka).
BURMESTER SECURES LIV WIN
Finding the Winner's Circle.
August also saw longtime staffer Dean Burmester capture his second career LIV Golf title at LIV Golf Chicago. He overcame a shaky start with bogeys on his first three holes but bounced back with three birdies to get himself into a three-way playoff. Burmester would birdie the first playoff hole to seal the victory.

SRIXON GOLF BALLS RISE TO THE TOP
The Ball Behind the Wins.

A driving force behind Srixon’s success this season has been the performance of its golf balls. Featured in every global victory this season, the Z-STAR Series continues to prove itself as the choice of champions.
Most recently, LPGA rookie Akie Iwai captured her first career title at the Standard Portland Classic with the Z-STAR XV, winning by an impressive four shots. The breakthrough vaulted her into the top 10 in the LPGA points standings, joining fellow Srixon staffers Rio Takeda (No. 3) and Miyu Yamashita (No. 4).
BETHPAGE AWAITS
Team Srixon on Golf's Biggest Stage.
The end of August marked the close of two years of qualifying for Team USA and Team Europe for golf’s premier team event, and Srixon will be proudly represented on both sides. Three staffers earned roster spots, with Keegan Bradley set to captain the U.S. Team. J.J. Spaun, powered by his U.S. Open victory and three runner-up finishes in 2025, secured his first appearance for Team USA.
On the European side, Sepp Straka (two wins this season) and Shane Lowry (two runner-up finishes and four Top 10s) were selected. This marks Straka’s second consecutive appearance and Lowry’s third. Srixon and Cleveland Golf congratulate all four staffers on these incredible career milestones.
