HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., March 7, 2026 – Spring is in the air and so are wins! Nico Echavarria captured his first victory as a Srixon Tour staffer at the Cognizant Classic, while Hannah Green triumphed at the HSBC Women’s World Championship for the second time in two years. With leaderboards filled with wins and multiple top 10 finishes, Team Srixon is just getting warmed up.
STACKING TOP 10s
The west coast swing turned into a launch pad for Team Srixon, as players across the board found their early-season groove. Andrew Novak set the tone at the Farmers Insurance Open, riding precise iron play to a T7 finish and an early statement.

At the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Hideki Matsuyama brought the heat, battling to a second-place solo finish after a playoff. His stats told the story, second in Strokes Gained: Approach, second in Strokes Gained: Around the Greens, and tied for first in Strokes Gained: Total. Although falling just short, Hideki is in good form and knocking at the door.
The momentum rolled straight into the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where four Srixon players cracked the top 10. Sepp Straka fired four rounds in the 60s to finish T2, while Shane Lowry, Hideki Matsuyama, and Nico Echavarria all secured T8 finishes in a stacked field.
To close the west coast swing, Ryan Fox added another T7 finish to the tally at the Genesis Invitational, proof that the momentum is real and building fast.
ECHAVARRIA’S FIRST WIN WITH TEAM SRIXON

The Florida swing couldn’t have gotten off to a better start. Nico Echavarria arrived at the Cognizant Classic confident he was going to win and then went out and proved it. An electric opening-round 8-under 63 set the tone, and he never let up. Nico ranked inside the top 10 in multiple Strokes Gained categories utilizing a combination of Srixon ZXi7 and ZXi5 Irons, plus Cleveland Golf RTZ Wedges, playing a flawless, bogey-free weekend to lock up his third PGA TOUR victory. He also earns a spot in the men’s first major of the season for the first time in his career.

A key move behind the scenes? A switch into the Z-STAR DIAMOND from the Z-STAR XV. The goal was simple: add iron spin and unlock more shot windows. The result? Total control when it mattered most and a trophy to show for it.

It wasn’t just Nico making noise in Florida. Shane Lowry once again thrived in the Sunshine State, finishing T2 and continuing his dominant play in a region where he owns the lowest cumulative score of any player in the last five years. And Brooks Koepka delivered his first top 10 finish since returning to the PGA TOUR, closing with a season-best 65 and finishing T9. He ranked top 10 in Strokes Gained: Approach and led the field in Strokes Gained: Around the Green in the final round, a performance that signals he is heating up at just the right time.

HANNAH GREEN IS BACK IN THE WINNER’S CIRCLE
On the LPGA TOUR, Hannah Green captured her first win of 2026 at the HSBC Women’s World Championship and her first victory since 2024. This is Green's seventh LPGA Tour title and second at this event, further cementing her resume.

Green entered the season confident in her game, and she backed it up in a big way. Gaming a combination set of Srixon ZXi5 and ZXi7 Irons, she hit an impressive 80% of greens in regulation for the week, leaning on her elite iron play to control her positioning in the tournament and close with authority.
She wasn’t alone in making a statement. Rio Takeda, Akie Iwai, and Miyu Yamashita each secured top 10 finishes, giving Team Srixon a powerful surge of momentum early in the LPGA Tour season.

ZXi7 & ZXi5 IRONS SHINE IN WINS
When it mattered most, they trusted ZXi Irons.
Both Nico Echavarria and Hannah Green had a winning combination of ZXi7 and ZXi5 Irons in the bag, blending precision, control, and consistency under pressure. The tour-validated shaping and ball speed performance of ZXi7 paired with the added forgiveness of ZXi5 proved to be a championship formula on golf’s biggest stages.

Across all Tours, the vast majority of the Srixon Tour staff employ a combo set strategy with their irons over the last several seasons. This has happened for a couple of reasons: the transition from ZXi7 to ZXi5 in the mid-to-long irons has become almost seamless from a feel, offset, and profile standpoint. Because of that, players can choose an iron in their mid-to-long range that gives them more forgiveness and increased peak height without sacrificing look and feel.
When speaking about combination sets on Tour, Srixon’s Director of Tour Operations, Michael Jolly, shared his perspective:
Particularly, on the PGA TOUR, as courses have gotten longer and firmer at the highest level, the added height and trajectory that they can achieve with ZXi5 iron is almost a necessity. What’s interesting is that when a player puts in one ZXi5 long iron, say a 4-iron at the top of their bag, they often come back to us shortly after and say, ‘I’m certain I need to be playing the 5i as well.'Michael Jolly, Director of Tour Operations at Srixon
